Anxiety Herbal Remedy

May 11, 2007 |

Anxiety is something that we do face at some point in our lives. We face pressures constantly and these may cause us to have fears and reactions that can have serious physical consequences.  You probably are aware of this adage “Stress Can Kill”.

You can use an anxiety herbal remedy to help alleviate some of your pressures.  Kava Kava is a herbal supplement that has shown to be able to help keep anxiety symptoms at bay.  Valerian Root is another type of herb that has been found to be useful for anxiety. It works both as an anti-sedative and an anti-anxiety agent. Another herb which supposedly helps in depression is St John’s Wort.

On top of taking an anxiety herbal remedy, you may wish to use other forms of therapy for relaxation. These may include massage therapy, meditation or simply biofeedback, to help you identify anxiety responses and signals that your body gives out and finding measures to cope.

Do take an anxiety herbal remedy only in consultation with your doctor.  Obviously if you are on other drugs, you need to take note of possible drug interactions with the herb that you are using.
