July 3, 2007 |
If you have diarrhea, you can follow this Traditional Chinese Medicine for treatment. Simply get some jin yin hua and stir fry it. Jin yin hua are the flower buds of the herb. In the west, this herb would be known as the honeysuckle.
The flower buds or jin yin hua are often used to treat feverish conditions. TCM practitioners say that they are especially helpful in treating conditions that are due to the summer heat. They are effective in clearing toxins or “fire poisons” from the body. Fire poisons are thought to cause many different ailments in the body, including dysentery and boils.
The flowers of the herb can also be used too. They are commonly used to make expectorant for coughs, as a diuretic, and for asthma.
Honeysuckle stems are called jin yin teng and ren dong teng in TCM. They are commonly used in acupuncture. Many acupuncturists think that it helps to stimulate the energy flow or qi.
