Natural Hair Loss Treatment
June 28, 2007 |
Natural hair loss treatment is an option that many prefers as compared to using synthetic chemical remedies. Not all herbal remedies work for hair loss. Results vary, as with most hereditary conditions. Still, many of these herbal remedies are relatively inexpensive and poses no serious harm if you wish to try them.
You can consider trying any one of the following natural hair loss treatment:
Saw Palmetto: This herb is particularly useful in the case of male pattern baldness and not as effective for female hair loss. Male pattern baldness is believed to be caused by a hormone known as dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is a by-product of testosterone. DHT works by shrinking and killing hair follicles.
Nettle and Pygeum: Another herb that appears to be great for male pattern baldness is pygeum. Pygeum is known to block one of the enzymes believed to be causing male pattern baldness. Nettle on the other hand enhances the effects of pygeum.
Green Tea: Green tea is thought to help inhibit the 5-alpha-reductase_enzyme which is believed to be responsible for most cases of hair loss. It is recommended that you consume one to three cups of green tea every day to help counteract the effects of the 5-alpha-reductase hair-killing enzyme.
It will be a good idea to try one natural hair loss treatment at a time so that you can find out exactly what works or what does not.
